Audio has been my main hobby since childhood. Over the years I went from installing mobile audio systems to home stereos, with a focus on speakers. I spent much of that time repairing, reconing, and refoaming speakers of all kinds.
Then one day I came across an old pair of Cerwin D5s needing foam. I bought my first red rings of glory, refoamed them, then literally spent the next several hours sitting on my concrete floor in front of them, letting the music from those D5s pound me in the face like nothing I'd heard before. I knew within 30 seconds Cerwin Vega would become my passion.
I started my Cerwin Vega journey with the refoaming and reconing of woofers... lots of woofers. At that time, I was using the same recone kits and parts suppliers as everyone else. And unfortunately, like everyone else, I discovered that the ribbed kits for the AT series weren’t available. Neither were voice coils on aluminum formers like Cerwin originally used.
A major turning point happened when I ordered a set of recone kits for the AT15, and instead of the proper DLP wound coil, they sent the regular coil. They must have run out of the DLP coils. I thought to myself, "I can do better. I can make these parts!"
Thus began my endeavor of producing my own parts for Cerwin Vega speakers, starting with ribbed cones and correct coils on aluminum formers. It was a success. Through my hobby, I discovered a whole community of Cerwin Vega fans around the world. In 2020, I formalized my hobby into Brew City Audio LLC.
My store is located on eBay. I’ve been using eBay for over 20 years, and I am a top rated seller with 100% positive feedback. If you search for “Brew City Audio” about half of what I have pops up. (I don’t know why not all of my items appear) But click on one product, then “see other items” and everything I have in my store will show.
I do have more items not listed, so feel free to contact me anytime. I pack everything to order myself, so I’m happy to put together whatever combination of parts you might want.
